Production of cores

The Cold Box core maker works with variable sand sorts and binding qualities which are adapted to the respective case of application of the core in the casting. Using a central program-controlled mixing plant, the 15 different core-shooting machines with firing volumes of 2.5 to 100 litres, are lead in a fully automatic way. Because the cores are made using copious amounts of water, they must first be completely dried before they are processed further. The storage of the produced cores occurs in a core warehouse designed for this purpose which is operated in connection with the overall production planning by means of a PPS program.
